How to determine the healthy parameters?

To calculate the normal body mass of adults used the body mass index (BMI) formula. In the first half of the XIX century Belgian scientist Adolphe Quetelet observed that the rate of adult body weight is well interpolated by the function BMI = W / H 2 , where the BMI (body mass index) — a variable which is obtained by dividing the weight (W) man on his squared height (H). As can be seen from the above, determine your BMI is very easy — divide your weight by height squared.

For example, for 1,80 m and 80 kg BMI = 80/(1,8)2 = 80/3,24 = 24,7.
